ROADSIDE REALNESS: BLACK DIAMOND, ALBERTA
Hot tips for the road trippin’ type.
This past summer our travels landed us in a tiny town called Black Diamond - just past Okotoks, outside Calgary. #ExploreAlberta. Black Diamond is a must visit for thirsty thrifters; we made exceptional friends with a nice French Canadian cowboy named Luc, the heart and soul behind Cool Hand Luc’s Treasure Shop. And treasure shop it was… my boyfriend and I spent the better part of an afternoon trying on piece after piece while Luc snapped away for his Facebook Page. He loves dressing people up and documenting it. We obliged whole-heartedly cuz… same.
Make it Count
Naturally, road trips through small towns yield amazing thrifting opportunities; conveniently enough these places also make the best backdrops. With no shortage of hot sexy vintage cars, ice cream shops and pastels pastels pastels, it’s almost too easy. So, as we gallivanted and collected and shot some of the best pieces in the collection to date, “Roadside Realness” was born. Ever pull together 3 lewks on the fly out of a ‘98 Ford Escort WAGON? Summer of ‘18, baby.
